A few days ago I looked at my wardrobe and I realized that it feels empty, especially one important thing was missing… A SUIT, or not just one suit, but suitS, plural! Since I’ve moved to London I’ve looked at suits every day and worked with it as well. However, I haven’t yet spent the time on myself to buy a few essential suits for my wardrobe. So I teamed up with some friends and we had an awesome day out in the streets of central LND, try it!
I’m not just talking navy, black and single breasted suits… No no no, I am talking about double-breasted, Olive green in cotton, light brown linen in single breasted and navy wool in double-breasted. However, in the Vlog you’ll also see me in a black double-breasted, and let me tell you why. It’s a classic, I know, you know, everybody knows. But I like to dress those more kind of ‘formal-classic pieces’ down and give it a personal touch with accessories, for instance, I could imagine myself wearing the suits with my black Louboutins sneakers w. spikes, a white t-shirt, Persian rug inspired pocket square or as a scarf, then Glasses with clear lens, then my Cartier bracelet next to a simple and leather strap watch, and to top it off, put some random rings on, to get some roughness!
My friends and I was invited to a fashion show with the designer Joshua Kane and to be frank with you guys, I had no clue what or who this designer was, but now I definitely have a better idea of who he is as a designer, and I actually did like some of the pieces from the show. If I have to choose one, it would be the ‘Balmain looking’ shirt-jacket with gold embroidery. Believe it or not, this was my first time going to a Fashion Show! Obviously, it wasn’t my favorite designer, but this experience definitely made me want to attend more fashion shows in the future.
One last thing… I have noticed one specific thing in terms of Men’s fashion this year. Ropes, yeah, ropes are becoming a thing within men’s accessories, or in other words as ‘outside belts’. Actually, I believe it is going to be a trend that is going have its peak this spring-summer. The good thing is, you don’t necessary need a rope or an expensive Balmain ‘belt’. You can use almost everything. For instance, I decided to use one of my favorite ties, to give that final crispy punch to the outfit, which I often seek when I put outfits together.
Here are two photos of me before the show: Try it out champs!
Annnnnd we made it back home, to the city of which I first knew as “London, BABY!” from my absolutely and all time favorite series, Friends (See here: https://goo.gl/80fMOX ).
As much as I miss the sun and cheap smoothies, I must say that I am looking forward to seeing the output for the next months ahead, as they’re already booked and even more plans are being planned, including traveling. (Hint: ‘Bonjour’, ‘¡Hola’ & Hey dude).
Oh, and one last thing,
I’m super excited to see the results of my applications for University… fingers crossed!
