DO WE DRINK ENOUGH WATER?

3 MIN READ

The title of this post is a question I’ve asked myself many times before and almost every time, I’ve come to the conclusion that I simply don’t drink enough water throughout the day. You see, according to The National Health Service (NHS), in climates such as the UK, we should be drinking around 1-2 litres of water. That’s roughly six to eight glasses a day. So, let me ask you this: Do you drink enough water? Just think about it for a second…

When I think of a reason to why I don’t drink enough I find myself just forgetting to do it. It is not because I don’t like water, no,  actually drink water majority of the times I go out. Actually, when I think about it sometimes I drink more water being out clubbing than throughout a normal day, even when I go to the gym… Therefore, in relation to my #31DayChallengeClub I knew I needed to change my habits and replace them with things that would make me remember to drink more water throughout the day.

WATER SHOPPING

A friend of mine advised me to buy a bottle of water with either 500 ml, 750 or 1-litre bottle and only drink from that. Why? In that way, you can keep track on how much you have been drinking and in my case, it becomes a competition with yourself. Lastly, by having a bottle of water on me, I automatically drink more. Why do you think I look at my phone that much? Because it is on me all the time.

You see, today I am halfway through the 31 days… I am on the 18th day and if I have to be totally honest I have been struggling with keeping up, I have been close but not there yet and going to Paris didn’t help either. However, as I got back from Paris I decided to listen to my friends’ advice and therefore went out to ‘water shop’

THIS IS WHY I LOVE MARKETING AND BRANDING

Btw. This Fiji Water thingy is maximum expensive… To be fair, water is a super interesting business. How can you charge £4 for 6x330ml and then only £1.40 for a 6x500ml bottle? You see, this is one of the super interesting aspects of marketing and branding. I love it! I have attached a link to a video of the most expensive water in the world, at the end of this blog post, have a look.

IT IS ABOUT HABITS

I am not trying to lie or anything, I did not buy Fiji Water, I just bought 6 bottles of regular Waitrose water of 500ml each. In that way, I know whenever I have finished 4 of the bottles I have done my target for the day. You see everything about this concept #31DayChallengeClub is about creating good habits and by sharing my process of going through it I might inspire just one other to do the same with whatever challenge that person think is needed in their lifestyle. Maybe you want to workout more? Maybe you want to know more people, or maybe you want to be better at staying in touch with your family etc. etc. All in all, once you have an answer to ‘why’ you want to do it, it is easier to stay driven. However, if you don’t, it is still possible, believe me!

Now, I share my process of this challenge every Sunday on the blog. However, the rest is going to be on following platforms:
